How loud is the machine?

It is about 40-50 dB in operation. Pretty quite actually.

Can I use other plastics bags to replace the juicing bags?

As JUISIR will produce a force of about 8 tons, our juicing bags are specially designed to withstand such large pressure. Other plastics bags that you can find in stores would burst if you use them with JUISIR.

How many times can the silicone outer bags be used before it needs replacing?

A few hundred times under normal use.

Can I buy silicone outer bags and cotton filters separately? How much do they cost respectively?

Of course you can, both silicone outer bags and cotton filters would be available on Amazon soon. The recommended retail price for silicone outer bags is around 29 USD each and cotton filters will cost as much as 0.2 USD each.

What's the life expectancy of the cotton bags? If I juice on a daily basis,what is the number of expected uses per cotton filter?

We expect the cotton filter can be used 2-3 times in a continuous juicing process. But in consideration of hygiene, we recommend changing the filter on a daily basis.

How long does fresh juice last? Does the juice start to lost nutrients over time after juicing?

As juice contains large amount of vitamin C and phenolic compounds, this nutrients are easy to be oxidized and lost. In general, it is recommended to drink your fresh raw juice within approximately 20 minutes for maximum benefit. If you have to store your juice, store it in the refrigerator and make sure that you consume it within 24 hours.

Why do you use cotton filters instead of other materials?

Cotton is one of the most biodegradable fabrics you can have, especially if it is 100% cotton. In compost, cotton can biodegrade within as little as a week but on average it usually takes around 5 months.

As insoluble fiber is also important, how to utilize the pulpy residues?

Fruit and vegetables residues are pressed to a paper-thinness. You can directly add them into your baking (work perfectly with biscuits) and help to increase your daily insoluble fiber intake. OR reuse them as organic fertilizer.

How to use the the multiple-use juicing bags?

The multiple-use bags are split into two individual parts – the silicone outer bag and the 100% cotton filter.
Place the cotton filter into the silicone outer bag and then follow the usual procedures. After juicing, take out the used cotton filter and discard it. The outer bag? Simply rinse it and you’re good to go again. All in all, there is no cleaning required for the machine. You can purchase the silicone outer bags and the cotton filters separately.

Is 100% fresh juice really good for me? How to drink juice scientifically?

Pure fruit and vegetable juice contains vital vitamins, minerals and nutrients. It is the easiest and most effective way to supplement nutrients and boost your energy.
Drink juice scientifically that plays a key role in healthy living.
Choosing low sugar fruit and vegetables to avoid excess sugar intake, and adequate intake of juice is also important. Choose MyPlate – the official dietary guideline in the USA, recommends an adult male has maximum 8 ounces (about 450ml) fresh juice every day.

Is fiber good for me? If it is good, how much fiber should I get every day?

Fiber comes in two varieties, both are beneficial to health:
Soluble fiber, which dissolves in water, can help lower glucose levels as well as help lower blood cholesterol.
Insoluble fiber, which does not dissolve in water, can help food move through your digestive system, promoting regularity and helping prevent constipation.
Drinking juice help you to increase soluble fiber intake.
The American Heart Association Eating Plansuggests eating a variety of food fiber sources. Total dietary fiber intake should be 25 grams a day from food, not supplements.

What is the difference between fresh juice and store-bought juice?

According to a documentary called ‘Food Detectives’, they tests Vitamin C contents in three different kinds of orange juices: FC (from concentrate) juice, NFC (not from concentrate) juice and fresh juice. The experts found 39 mg Vitamin C in the FC orange juice, only 30mg Vitamin C in NFC orange juice and a high 50mg Vitamin C in fresh orange juice. Based on the results, it is no doubts that freshly-made juice is the best choice in terms of nutritional contents. The reason why store-bought juice contains less nutrients than fresh juice is that in order to extend the shelf-life of juice, juice manufacturers usually use pasteurization to kills all enzymes in the juice and therefore destroys majority of nutrients.
